A website for a homestay, villa or beach tour operator in Tulungagung has to answer three questions straight away: where it is, what it costs and how to book. A small homestay can start with one page and WhatsApp bookings; a place with many rooms gains more from an availability calendar and online booking. At PintuWeb an Online Booking System costs IDR 1,500,000 – IDR 5,000,000, and a landing page starts at IDR 100,000.
Why do tourism businesses on Tulungagung's coast need a website?
In Tulungagung Regency in Figures 2026, Statistics Indonesia (BPS) lists 25 beach attractions in the regency for 2025, spread across the districts of Kalidawir, Pucanglaban, Besuki and Tanggunggunung, including Popoh, Sine, Klatak, Gemah, Brumbun and Midodaren beaches. BPS also counted 1,360,950 tourist visits to Tulungagung in 2025.
Access to the coast has changed too. The regency's 51.56 km section of the southern coastal road (Jalur Lintas Selatan, or JLS) was fully connected once the last Brumbun–Sine stretch was finished at the end of May 2026. Travellers planning a trip along it look up places to stay, routes and prices on their phones.
What must a homestay or tourism website include?
| Section | Content | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Rooms and prices | Room types, capacity, nightly rate, weekend or holiday rates | State the full price, including any extras |
| Availability | A calendar or a "check dates" button | Fewer "any rooms left?" messages |
| Location and directions | Map, distance to the nearest beach, route from town, road conditions | Popoh beach, for example, is about 27 km from the town centre |
| Real photos | Rooms, bathroom, view, parking | Real photos are trusted more than stock images |
| Facilities | Parking, private bathroom, kitchen, Wi-Fi where available | Only what you really offer |
| House rules | Check-in and check-out times, deposit, cancellation, guest rules | Avoids disputes on arrival |
| Contact | A WhatsApp button and a number that is answered | Some guests want to ask before paying |
Tour operators should add schedules, price per person, the meeting point and what is included.
Booking through your own site, WhatsApp or a platform?
| Method | Best for | Note |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp from a landing page | Homestays with a few rooms | Cheap and fast; the schedule is kept by hand |
| A booking system on your own site | Places with many rooms or returning guests | No platform commission, guest data is yours, online deposits possible |
| Booking platforms | Reaching new guests from further away | Usually commission-based, with the platform's rules |
These can run side by side, as long as the schedule lives in one place so a room is never sold twice. The online booking system guide covers this in more depth, and you can try the Tanjung Lengkung demo, a fictional guesthouse with room booking (in Indonesian).
How do guests find a place to stay on Google?
- A Google Business Profile with the right category, photos, hours and a link to your booking page. The profile can also show bookings through Google's partner providers, which Google notes might charge you. See our Business Profile guide.
- Free booking links for hotels. Through Google Hotel Center, hotel partners pay no fee for free booking links, and properties using certain reservation systems may already be connected through their provider.
- Pages that answer travellers' questions, such as the route from town to the nearest beach and what to do nearby.
- LodgingBusiness structured data, the schema.org type for places to stay, with name, address, check-in time and amenities.

Frequently asked questions
Does a homestay with two or three rooms need a booking system?
Not necessarily. A landing page with photos, prices, location and a WhatsApp button is often enough. A booking system starts to pay off when bookings clash or many arrive outside staffed hours.
Should the site be in English as well?
If you want foreign visitors, yes, at least for rooms, prices, location and house rules.
Can guests pay a deposit on the website?
Yes, through a payment gateway account in your business's name. Transaction fees are deducted by the gateway provider.
How is this different from listing on a booking app?
Booking apps bring new guests but usually charge commission and hold the guest data. Your own website is where returning guests book directly, so the two complement each other.
