A safe, affordable website service gives you four things in writing: the domain in your name, code and access handed over after payment, a guarantee with a clear length, and the year-two cost stated from the start. A low price is not the problem. The problem is a low price that hides terms you only discover after paying.
Five things you must get
- The domain in your name. The domain is your business address. If it is registered to the vendor, moving providers later can be painful.
- Code and access. After full payment you should own the site files and hosting access. Otherwise you are tied to one vendor forever.
- A written guarantee. Ask for its length and scope. At PintuWeb, bugs and technical issues are fixed free for 30 days after launch.
- The year-two price. Ask what renewing the domain and hosting costs. We state it openly: roughly IDR 300,000–500,000 per year from the second year.
- A written scope. Pages, revisions and inclusions (domain, SSL, basic SEO, contact form) belong in writing, not in conversation.
What fair pricing looks like
These figures come from our package list, so they match the Pricing page:
| Need | Package | Price | Turnaround |
|---|---|---|---|
| One promo page | Landing Page | IDR 100,000 – IDR 500,000 | 1–2 working days |
| 3–5 page business site | Standard Business | IDR 500,000 – IDR 1,500,000 | 2–3 working days |
| Catalog with WhatsApp ordering | Online Store Simple | IDR 300,000 – IDR 2,000,000 | 3–5 working days |
| Link in bio | Link in Bio | IDR 100,000 – IDR 300,000 | 1–2 working days |
All are a 50% deposit up front and the rest after you approve the finished site. The factors that decide price are explained in the website cost breakdown.
Red flags
- One number, no breakdown. You do not know what you are buying and have no basis in a dispute.
- Domain or hosting in the vendor's name with no written promise to transfer it.
- No live examples. Mockups are easy; a live site you can click through is proof. We have 83 demos in the demo gallery.
- Full payment up front. Staged payment protects both sides.
- Guaranteed results. Nobody can promise "number one on Google"; rankings are decided by search engines. A well-built site only gives you a solid base.
- Hidden year-two fees. Cheap in year one, expensive at renewal.
- Unlicensed templates or images. Ask where images come from; unlicensed photos can become your problem.
Saving without cheapening
- Pick the package that fits. A new business usually does fine with a landing page or company profile site, not a full store.
- Prepare your own content. Real text, logo and photos speed things up and persuade better.
- Postpone what is not urgent. Start with WhatsApp ordering and add automatic payment when orders are steady.
- Do not haggle over quality. Cutting revisions or the guarantee only moves cost to later.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a website service cost?
At PintuWeb, from IDR 100,000 for a landing page and IDR 500,000 for a 3–5 page site. Price rises with features, for example a full online store at IDR 3,000,000 – IDR 10,000,000+.
Do you have to pay to build a website?
Free builders exist, but the address is usually borrowed, the ads are not yours and features are limited. If you want your own domain and full control, paid is the better fit. See free vs paid websites.
Why are website services expensive?
The price covers design, development, testing on many screen sizes, domain, hosting and support after launch. Custom features are what usually push it up. Ready-made packages such as Landing Page or Standard Business keep costs down because the workflow is standardized.
Can a cheap website service be trusted?
Yes, if terms are clear: written scope, domain in your name, code handed over, a guarantee and live examples. If a vendor refuses to write them down, that is your answer.
How much does a domain cost for one year?
It varies by extension and registrar, so ask for the official price before buying. In PintuWeb packages the first-year domain is included; from year two, domain and hosting renewal is roughly IDR 300,000–500,000 per year. Basics are in domain and hosting basics.
What should I ask before paying a deposit?
Whose name the domain is in, whether the code is handed over, the year-two cost, what the guarantee covers, and whether there are live examples.
