At PintuWeb, a Mobile App for Android and iOS is IDR 500,000 – IDR 10,000,000+ and a Web App is IDR 2,000,000 – IDR 10,000,000+. The gap is wide because "app" can mean very different things, from a simple cashier app on a phone to a system with many user roles. This article helps you choose the right type before you ask for a price.

Mobile app or web app?

Our mobile apps are built with React Native and Expo, so one codebase produces Android, iOS and web/PWA versions. The package covers UI design per screen, local data and offline mode where needed, plus notifications and an admin dashboard as required.

A web app has login and user roles, data management (add, edit, delete, search), kanban, calendar or report views, CSV/Excel export, and a responsive layout. If your staff all have phones and browsers, a web app is often enough and skips the app stores.

What sets the price

  1. Screens and flows. A five-screen cashier app differs hugely from a fifty-screen one.
  2. Online or local data. Data kept on one phone is simpler. Data synced across devices needs a server and database.
  3. Logins and roles. Owner, cashier and customer see different things; more roles mean more testing.
  4. Notifications and integrations. Payments, receipt printers or third-party services each need testing.
  5. Design. Per-screen branded UI takes longer than a template.

Examples: cashier and small-business apps

You can try our demo apps to see the end result:

  • Ketip, a cashier app for small shops
  • Kursi Putar, booking for barbers and salons
  • Kopi Blirik, membership card and points
  • Pincuk, delivery from local shops
  • Gilir, attendance, shifts and leave

All are fictional businesses made as examples. The full list is in the demo gallery (83 demos in total). A real cashier app adapts to your products, taxes and receipts; its price follows features, not the demo.

Costs people forget

  • Developer accounts. Publishing needs a developer account in your or your business's name. Fees and terms are set by Google and Apple, so check the official pages for current figures. We hand over files and source code; release is done with your account, following the Expo guide.
  • Server and database. The Web App package includes hosting and a database for 1 year. Later costs are stated in the quote.
  • Updates. Phone operating systems change every year. Extended maintenance can be requested monthly.
  • Transaction fees. If you take payments, the payment provider charges its own fees.

Before you ask for a quote

Write one page: who the users are, the three most important things they must be able to do, and whether data must sync between phones. With that we can suggest the app type and an estimate. Use the contact page. Details are on the Mobile App service page and the Pricing page; if what you really need is a website, see the website cost breakdown.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a web app cost?

A Web App at PintuWeb is IDR 2,000,000 – IDR 10,000,000+, built in 1–2 weeks. The final figure depends on user roles, data tables and reports.

How much does an Android app cost?

A Mobile App is IDR 500,000 – IDR 10,000,000+. The Android and iOS versions come from one codebase, so you do not pay for two separate apps.

What is the difference between an app and a website?

A website focuses on information and promotion found through search engines. An app focuses on repeated user actions such as recording sales or booking slots. If you want to be found on Google, a website is usually the better fit.

Can the app go straight to the Play Store?

Yes, but release uses your own developer account. We hand over the app files and source code; you or your team upload them to the stores.

How long does it take?

Mobile App 3–7 working days and Web App 1–2 weeks, counted once requirements and content are clear.

Will I own the code?

Yes. The app files and source code are handed over, and the bug guarantee runs 30 days from handover.
